This role collaborates with key constituents across the organization to administer and improve HR processes across various domains/ functions with an emphasis on payroll, HR transaction, benefits, employee leaves, Workers' Compensation, etc.). The HR Operations Consultant also ensures effective day-to-day transacting within the HR function through collaboration with various HR vendors. Reporting to the Total Rewards or HR Center of Excellence (COE), this position is instrumental in maintaining compliance, improving the employee experience, and facilitating successful talent management. The HR Operations Consultant will ensure that plans are administered per federal and state regulations and plan provisions are followed. This role provides key HR administrative support to the HR function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS reporting.Responsibilities:
  • Manages onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to support talent acquisition and retention efforts.
  • Drives the implementation and adoption of HRIS systems and tools
  • Manages end-to-end background process for enterprise.
  • Supports the administration of global payroll processing. Ensure interaction and process flow, procedures are accurately executed with the payroll provider.
  • Maintains a respectful, non-judgmental, and compassionate manner with employees, vendors, and staff.
  • Administer health, welfare and retirement plans. including enrollments, changes, and terminations. Process required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
  • Facilitate open enrollment. Support includes vendor changes, rate changes/updates, interface modifications, etc.
  • Conducts data analysis and provides meaningful insights to inform HR strategies and decision-making
  • Deliver superior employee-focused service by answering employee requests and questions in person, through HR mailbox and/or vendor escalations.
  • Assist with completing the processing of I-9 documentation and maintenance of I-9 files.
  • Supports administrator for global rewards and recognition programs.
  • Administers the organization's leaves of absence in a manner consistent with company policies and regulations.
  • Reconciles benefits statements and invoices in preparation for payment.
  • Conduct audits of payroll, benefits, or other HR programs and recommends corrective action.
  • File documents into appropriate employee files.
  • Provides support for immigration administration
  • Works with HR Operations Manager to support onboarding to ensure best in class employee onboarding experience.
  • Prepares and delivers HR reporting in line with business needs and compliance requirements, including required reporting and filings (AAP, EEOC, Vets reporting etc.)
  • Performs routine configuration updates to the organization's Human Resource Management System, Dayforce.
  • Serves as the main point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries.
  • Demonstrates organizational skills necessary to multi-task, meet deadlines, and re-prioritize as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing HR projects and initiatives
  • Minimum of 3 years or more of talent, payroll and benefit administration related experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of ad hoc reporting and data analytics experience
  • Strong project manager skills; experienced in managing HR initiatives
  • Working knowledge of general HR compliance
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills; exceptional customer service skills HRIS and HRMS analytics. Experience with Dayforce HCM platform a plus.
  • Superior customer and employee service.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Working understanding of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to accomplish responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Compensation The annualized base pay range is mainly based on an evaluation of comparable positions in the external market. The actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range. The base pay is based on factors including but not limited to experience, competence, and demonstration of proficiencies essential for the role. The base pay is just one component of Talcott's total annual compensation for employees.
