Job Description

M&J is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to be responsible for forecasting staffing needs, developing talent acquisition strategies and hiring plans, leading employment branding initiatives and identifying ways to improve the candidates experience. This candidate will also ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for recruiting and screening candidates.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for managing the full recruitment cycle, from identifying talent needs to the point of recruiting qualified candidates. This role partners with HR and the hiring managers across all locations to ensure the organization's staffing needs are met while delivering an exceptional candidate experience. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of recruitment best practices, excellent communication skills, and a passion for attracting top talent.

  • Recruitment Strategy: Collaborate with hiring managers to develop effective recruiting strategies to meet talent acquisition goals.
  • Sourcing: Proactively source candidates through various channels including job boards, social media, employee referrals, and direct outreach. Utilize recruitment tools and databases effectively.
  • Candidate Screening: Review resumes, conduct phone screens, and assess candidates' skills, experience, and fit with the organization.
  • Interview Coordination: Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring teams. Prepare hiring managers with interview guides and interview feedback tools.
  • Candidate Engagement: Build relationships with candidates and maintain engaging experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Job Postings: Write clear and compelling job descriptions and post them on appropriate job boards, career sites, and social media platforms.
  • Offer Negotiation: Extend job offers to selected candidates and negotiate compensation packages in partnership with HR and hiring managers.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Track recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and offer acceptance rate. Provide regular updates on recruitment progress to the FIST team.
  • Employer Branding: Promote the companys brand and values through recruitment marketing, ensuring a positive candidate experience from application to onboarding.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all hiring practices comply with relevant labor laws and company policies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records.
  • Propose creative and effective ideas for finding the best talent.
  • Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Build talent pipelines for current and future job openings.
  • Partner with HR to ensure proper onboarding and training of new hires.
  • Any other duties as assigned
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field required
  • 5+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition/Human Resources
  • Strong understanding of the Architectural and Engineering (A/E) industry with an established A/E network
  • Experience recruiting in a rapid growth organization
  • Ability to achieve results in a fast-paced, variable environment
  • Have a data driven mentality and strong analytic skills to generate metrics that evaluate effectiveness and identify insights that continuously improve the recruiting function
  • Ability to effectively utilize data to drive action and deliver results
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster long-term relationships (with internal teams, external partners and candidates)
  • Computer skills - Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs), HR databases, and external recruiting platforms and social media outlets
