The Atlanta Falcons are a professional American football club and member of the National Football League (NFL). The team plays its home games at the Georgia Dome in downtown Atlanta, and will move play to Mercedes-Benz Stadium in 2017 when the new stadium opens. The team's headquarters and practice facilities are currently located at a 50-acre site in Flowery Branch, Georgia. The Falcons' NFL expansion franchise was awarded in 1965 and acquired by Arthur Blank, co-founder of Home Depot, in 2002. Under Blank's leadership, the Falcons have become one of the League's premier teams on and off the field.
Atlanta Falcons Stadium Company
Atlanta Falcons Stadium Company is the developer and future operator of Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The new home of the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United, Mercedes-Benz Stadium will open in 2017. The stadium will also host numerous other sports and entertainment events. The multi-purpose venue will feature flexible capacity that can expand to up to 83,000 seats; a retractable roof structure inspired by the oculus in the ancient Rome Pantheon; views of the Atlanta skyline; a 360-degree HD video halo board that, at nearly six stories tall and 1,100 linear feet in diameter, will be the largest in the NFL and the world; an exterior fan plaza that will provide fans with pre- and post-game entertainment; and a technology lounge offering a unique game day experience full of media content and full game immersion.
Atlanta United FC
Atlanta United is Major League Soccer's 22nd franchise and will begin play in 2017 when Mercedes-Benz Stadium opens. The club's avid fan base has set MLS records in fan participation with the number of seats already reserved for the inaugural season. Since club owner Arthur Blank was awarded the franchise in 2014, Atlanta United is emerging as a top flight organization in MLS and in the community.
Position Summary
Working in a fast-paced environment, the Talent Acquisition Specialist is a highly driven, organized, and ambitious recruiting professional that will conduct the prescreening and sourcing process for assigned roles within the organization. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will build searches and create engaging messages to attract qualified candidates for our complex multi-franchise business. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be challenged to think creatively while helping the Talent Acquisition Team improve the ability to quickly identify and engage qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
* Create and maintain job requisitions to attract the best talent
* Prescreen and evaluate candidates for multiple positions in alignment with the job profile, provide recommendations to hiring managers to hire most suitable talent possible
* Source candidates for hard to fill roles and builds diversity recruiting strategies and talent pipelines (Social platforms and professional networks)
* Work within Workday (ATS) daily and external job boards to manage job applicants, and engage active and passive job seekers; Utilize Vid-Recruiter to review candidates for operational and event day positions
* Represent company internally and externally at events with a goal of networking and relationship building with potential candidate communities; Coordinate local job fairs, arrange in-person hiring events, internship program; build relationships with vendor partners
* Apply DEI strategies in recruitment operation to ensure fairness in the process and follow leagues diversity hiring regulations
* Manage respective candidate pools to ensure qualified candidates remain engaged in current or future opportunities
* Regularly track and communicate recruiting strategies, progress and outcomes with Talent Acquisition leader and other stakeholders
* Help with one-off projects and suggest new ideas that contributes to the continuous innovation of the Talent Acquisition department
* Generate monthly updates for company's leadership about upcoming talent acquisition initiatives
* Conduct compliance efforts by reviewing employment applications and background check reports
Qualifications and Skills:
* GED or high school diploma; Bachelors degree preferred
* A minimum of 3 years sourcing or talent acquisition experience in an agency or corporate setting
* Familiarity sourcing utilizing various databases and tools: LinkedIn, Indeed, Handshake
* ATS experience, preferably Workday
* Ability to thrive within an independent working environment
* The ideal candidate must possess strong listening and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with various stakeholders
* Comfort in building strategic sourcing plans and engaging passive candidates
* Technically savvy to maneuver within Microsoft Office Suite and various job boards
* Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and pivot as priorities may quickly change
* Possess intuitive skills to make sound decisions with limited supervision
