Job Description The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for researching, developing, and implementing effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for Events DC. This position is also responsible for managing the onboarding process for all new hires for Events DC. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will collaborate with hiring managers to understand their hiring needs while providing excellent customer service. The goal of the position is to attract the area's top talent in order to fuel company growth, support organizational staffing objectives and further the mission and vision of the company. This position reports to the Senior Director, Workforce Development. Responsibilities
- Provides the highest level of customer service to all internal and external clients.
- Provides HR expertise and counsel on staffing strategies and acquisitions of key talent.
- Proactively identifies and monitors top talent to support growth initiatives for the organization.
- Drives consistency in administering Human Resources policies and procedures, while also proactively supporting the delivery of HR processes to clients.
- Assists in the design and implementation of the overall recruiting strategy
- Identifies staffing gaps, proposes changes as necessary.
- Prepare and post jobs to appropriate job boards, websites, association job sites, databases and social media.
- Creatively identifies and source job sites and opportunities to attract and acquire appropriate talent.
- Provide analytical recruitment reports and matrix tables that track timeline to fill, recruitment activity, job fairs.
- Identify and attend strategic job fairs that will attract viable candidates, track all job fair data such as date, location, attendance numbers, participant's/number of interests, and new hires resulting from the job fair.
- Manages and participates in the execution of the monthly New Hire Orientation program.
- Responsible for a proactive approach to applying HR recruiting best practices.
- Act as the point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process.
- Evaluates applicant's relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and ability to perform the job as required.
- Conduct pre-screening interviews.
- Meet with hiring managers to discuss critical needs and approach to their specific. recruitment needs and to stay abreast of current and future business needs.
- Responds to new employee issues from the standpoint of proper and efficient onboarding.
- Ensure confidentiality within the organization at all times.
- Input appropriate new hire information into the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and create new hire official personnel file.
- Provide support with other HR activities and events as needed or assigned.
- Talent Optimization - assist managers in developing processes that will attract, acquire and retain talent.
- Participate in Human Resource projects and initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum two (2) years of strong progressive Recruitment, experience with the basic knowledge of specialty areas including Recruitment, Employee Relations, and Benefits.
- Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
- Experience in managing Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
- Experience in candidate sourcing solutions
