Responsible for managing the full cycle hiring process, from identifying hiring needs to onboarding new employees. Involves proactive sourcing, screening, interviewing, and recommending candidates for hire. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will work closely with hiring managers to ensure the right talent is hired to meet the organization's goals and needs.
Essential Functions:
* Ensures all positions are posted both internally and externally in a timely and accurate manner.
* Manages full cycle recruiting process to meet the various staffing goals.
* Works with supervising leaders and interview teams to ensure job requirements and expectations are clearly understood and candidates are assessed against appropriate criteria.
* Develops and implements proactive search strategies
* Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local legislations including FMLA, ADA, ADEA, OSHA, COBRA, HIPAA and other employment regulations.
* Ensures accuracy and confidentiality of all employee records.
* Utilizes, develops and recommends improvements to existing and/or anticipated applicant tracking systems. Tracks all candidates utilizing approved systems.
* Designs and places employment advertising and recruiting materials.
* Reviews resumes and applications, screens and interviews internal and external applicants, conducts testing, and performs reference and background checks as needed.
* Actively participates in activities that promote NorthStar Care Community's mission in the community.
* Adheres to organizational Code of Conduct, policies, procedures, protocols and processes and all regulatory and legal requirements.
Qualifications:
* Must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree; with concentration in Human Resources Administration, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field preferred. A combination of education and work experience may be considered.
* At least one year recruiting experience required.
* PHR/SPHR certification or similar professional certification preferred.
* Must be computer literate, with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, HRIS and related reporting systems. Experience utilizing applicant tracking systems preferred.
* Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, sound judgment, effective organizational, prioritization and follow-through skills, attention to detail, tact, dependability, emotional intelligence and the ability to promote positive, constructive relationships with communication and collaboration at all levels with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
* Knowledge of legislation impacting Human Resources in the workplace including FMLA, ADA, ADEA, OSHA, worker's compensation, and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, etc.
