Palladian West, a nationally recognized search firm, is currently seeking a Talent Sourcer to join our growing team.
Based out of Grand Rapids, Mich., Palladian West is a national, fully retained search firm, delivering top talent to leading companies building their leadership, board and sales teams.
As a Sourcer on our team, you will manage the work of researching profiles that match the criteria for our clients' job openings. The Sourcer role is all about curiosity–quickly learning new job functions, industries, clients and professions so as to narrow in on the exact-right fit, every time.
Our Sourcers are passionate about pre-search “architecture,” the practice of meticulously planning where and how to find the target profiles for our clients. This role wears the hats of researcher, investigator, problem-solver and thought partner to the Executive Recruiting Team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES + ACTIVITIES
- Attends, participates and adds insights to intakes, Search Strategy meetings, debriefs, and other project-based meetings that occur through the lifecycle of a search.
- Uses technology (LinkedIn Recruiter, AI, online databases) to source profiles and research industries, org charts, and job functions.
- Sifts through large amounts of data and hones in on high-quality profile fits. Takes the “guesswork” out of the fit before sourcing the profile for the Executive Recruiting Team.
- Documents sourcing activities and manages PW's Search Strategy overview, providing clarity for the executed work on every search.
- Makes daily search and profile observations/ recommendations to the Account Manager and Executive Recruiting Team.
- Retrieves contact information for candidate profiles.
- Gives and receives feedback with the Executive Recruiting Team when it comes to fit-testing profiles, industries and other critical search information. Shares findings proactively with internal team to course-correct and adjust the scope of the search, if necessary.
- Consolidates findings and learnings to create best practices for repeatable searches (e.g. key strings, company lists, industry matches).
- Stays abreast of best-in-class sourcing trends and skills (e.g. utilizing AI, LinkedIn Recruiter query enhancements, etc.)
ATTRIBUTES + REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Previous experience performing research on organizations, industries, profiles/job types or similar work. Prior sourcing experience strongly preferred, but not required.
- Ability to learn and deploy technologies (LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS) to perform the role efficiently.
- Keyword search experience (e.g. Boolean) highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new or complex concepts (e.g. industries, complex jobs).
- Driven by curiosity, harnessing a think-outside-the-box mentality.
- A master problem-solver.
- Persistence and thoroughness when managing projects.
- Proactive communicator.
- Ability to perform task-oriented research for large chunks of time.
- Team-oriented approach–this role will work collaboratively with Executive Recruiters, Management, and clients.
