The Role: CleanTank is an integral part of providing our clients with clean fuel and an essential part of maintaining the fuel system. Over time underground storage tanks accumulate debris in the bottom of the tanks and because of todays' fuel chemistry it is essential to remove the debris on a periodic basis. What our Clean Tank Technicians do: • Remove water using equipment traversing the entire tank floor from multiple access points and pumping into a holding tank to settle. All fuel from the holding tank is then filtered and returned to the underground tank. • Remove contaminants from the tank, including rust particulate, bacterial sludge and foreign matter until the tank floor is clear and bright. Samples are achieved from multiple access points. • Use tools to help filtration, conditioning and polishing of fuel to a filtration rate of two microns, with the option of biocide treatment and extensive delivery line flushing. • The remaining fuel in the settlement tank is treated and returned to the tank. Waste is disposed of in accordance with EPA and state regulations. *This position requires heavy travel. Travel on average, is on the road 3 our of 4 weeks per month, with time home on the weekends. *Qualifications • Candidates need to be comfortable driving a larger truck or truck with a trailer. • Must have a mechanical background along with a history of working with hand tools, experience in trades, and/or experience in any industrial/commercial settings a plus. • Can lift 10-50lbs as well as frequent kneeling, bending, handling, reaching, and standing. • Basic knowledge of technology - tablet/phone/computer - for documentation. • Must be willing to travel in a multi-state area, in some cases being away from home days/weeks (hotels and a generous per diem is provided). • Must be able to pass a company paid DOT physical & drug screen and possess a clean driving record.
