Essential Functions
* Ability to perform the functions of the job while adhering to the Safety Absolutes.
* Operate a hand-held grinder to finish small part components
* Load machine programs, as needed, specific to product orders
* Process material in accordance with shop drawings through the use of designated machines
* Troubleshoot causes of operating errors and determine possible resolutions
* Maintain material traceability
* Seek opportunities for improvements within the manufacturing department
* Perform tasks according to production needs to minimize downtime
* Determine machine maintenance needs and perform light maintenance, as needed
* Manage time to efficiently produce quality products within designated work hours
* Communicate information and provide feedback, in person, with co-workers, Shift Lead, Shift Supervisor &/or Production/Operations Manager
* Perform lean, 5S, and/or general housekeeping
* Other duties as required and/or assigned.
Required Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED equivalent
* 1-3 years prior work experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment- Must have strong mechanical aptitude
* Ability to read micrometers, flatness and radius gauges and tape measures
* Must be able to read and interpret WIP instruction packets
* Must obtain forklift license within 90 days of starting job
