Title: Mental Health Trainer Task Force Position Type: - Certified - Extra Work Assignment/Task Force
- Members of this task force will deliver mental health training that includes the signs and symptoms of suicidal behavior to Unit 5 staff.
Location: Unit Office Qualifications/ Desired Applicants: - Representations from all levels (early learning, elementary, junior high school, and high school)
- School Psychologists
- School Social Workers
- School Counselors
- Nurses
- Family Coordinators
- Home Interventionists
- LBS-1
- Other Certified Staff with relevant experience and knowledge of SEL, mental health
Reports to: Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Force Responsibilities:- Develop District-wide training on signs and symptoms of suicidal behavior, non-suicidal self-injury, and staff response (training prepared by Aug 1, 2024) to address the following policy 7.290
- Plan Training of Trainers (help the members of the trainers' task force prepare to deliver the training)
- Plan training sequence for Mental Health First Aid district-wide rollout
Task Force Dates: June 2024-December 2024 with the potential to train again in 24-25 school year Summer Work Required Compensation: Stipend per hourly rate for curriculum work per contractual agreement. Maximum of 20 hours per task force member. To Apply: Online at www.unit5.org
