Overview
Task Force General Manager will provide both short and long-term task force coverage for any of the EOS Hospitality owned or managed properties serving as the acting General Manager, onsite leader of the hotel and represents the company with internal and external clients and communications. This position will be needed during times of transition, during a leave of absence or when assistance In training Is needed until a full-time General Manager is assigned. The length of the assignment(s) will be based on the specific needs of the property. Properties include independent as well as branded hotels, including Marriott and Hilton properties.
This position is responsible for the selection, training, and development of key leadership roles within the resort and for constantly monitoring hotel staff performance in all phases of service and job functions. The Task Force General Manager must be able to interact with guests, resolve problems and communicate effectively with all departments. The role must ensure the profitability of all departments to achieve the budgeted objective. The Task Force General Manager will also be the primary training resource for new General Managers, or General Managers needing additional support and hands on training. This individual may also provide support in a variety of other operational roles as well as assist with corporate projects and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading and supporting all departments within the resort to ensure all policies and procedures and standards are being met.
* Interacting positively with guests promoting the features and amenities of the resort
* Monitoring all aspects of the hotel operation and rectifying any deficiencies with respective personnel.
* Maintaining profitability of each department
* Evaluating cost effectiveness of all aspects of the operation
* Developing cost savings and profit enhancing measures across the resort
* Providing support to the executive committee and leadership group
* Manage the overall seasonal demand strategy in partnership with the hotel's revenue team.
* Establish and implement appropriate service recovery guidelines in order to ensure complete guest satisfaction. Respond to guest complaints or concerns in a prompt and professional manner.
* Ensure the effective operation of the hotel through the direct supervision of the operations leadership team.
* Manage the appearance, condition, and preventive maintenance of the physical hotel through the direct supervision of the Director of Engineering.
* Enforce hotel standards, policies, and procedures are in place within the hotel departments.
* Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
* Candidates must have a minimum of ten years of management experience in resorts or hotels.
* Independent and Branded hotel experience (limited and full service) preferred.
* Strong prior experience in sales and marketing and food & beverage is preferred.
* Bachelor's degree is required.
* The candidate must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and good computer and budget analysis skills.
* The role requires the ability to maneuver within an ever-changing environment providing guidance and support to management and staff so that they can offer exceptional guest service and attain the budgeted goals.
Annual Salary range from $120,000 to $220,000; depending on geographic location.
