Toogood Estate Winery is a beautiful winery in Somerset, with the largest underground wine cave in El Dorado County. We strive to exceed our customers' expectations! We provide our guests with an array of tasting experiences. Our tasting room associate is responsible for providing a high level of personalized customer service and unforgettable experiences while educating guests about our wines and the winery. They assist guests with selecting wines and actively recruit new wine club members.

Winery, restaurant hospitality, or related field experience strongly preferred.
Computer literacy.
Knowledge of food, pairings, and the Sierra Foothills AVA is a bonus.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be 21 years of age.
Must be able to lift and carry 55 pounds, utilize a dolly cart, and assist in moving heavy objects. * Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
Stand and walk for long periods of time. Perform some repetitive motion activities.
Clean driving record and reliable transportation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Promptly greets all visitors to the winery and pours wines for tasting. Describes wines, winemaking techniques, and winery history of El Dorado County; answers customer's questions about wines. Provides general tourist information to customers. Operates POS, handles credit card sales, and wine club releases. Follows company schedule for special promotions and sales and release of wines. Recruiting and enrolling new wine club members. Monitors merchandise displays and overall appearance and cleanliness of wine cave and surrounding property. Performs daily inventory counts for wine and merchandise. Capable of opening and closing duties related to the winery and tasting room. May represent winery at outside functions as needed. Assists other departments and employees as needed. Performs other duties as assigned by the manager that could include leadership responsibilities as a Manager on Duty.
Job Type: Full-time – 35-40 hours per week
Working Days: Wednesday through Sunday (days off Monday and Tuesday).
Typical start time: 10AM
Typical end time: 6PM
Pay: Competitive Hourly DOE + Tips + Commission + Health Insurance + Paid Vacation and Sick time *Some benefits pending probationary period.
