About the job Tax Accountant - Japanese Bilingual (Full Remote OK) We are seeking a Tax Accountant to join our collaborative and innovative team. Requirements:
- Fluency in Japanese
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Law, or a similar degree in business; Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation preferred.
- CPA, EA, or Juris Doctorate.
- Minimum 5 years of experience providing federal tax compliance and consulting services in a professional services firm.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience, including coaching and mentoring associates.
- Demonstrated ability to manage, analyze, organize, and communicate effectively.
- Proven project management skills.
- Proven ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, and demonstrate a continued commitment to learning about applicable strategies.
- Ability to grasp both the big picture and the details.
- Ability to demonstrate appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment.
- Ability to demonstrate a sense of urgency and commitment to project quality and timely completion.
Responsibilities: • Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns. • Conduct tax research to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws. • Assist with tax audits and resolve any tax discrepancies. • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and tax workpapers. • Provide tax planning advice to clients. • Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations. • Assist with special projects as assigned.
