The Portage County Treasurer's office is looking to hire an On Call Casual Tax Collection Aide. This position will work the beginning of December - January and possibly other times throughout the year (July). This position will work 10-40 hrs/week.

The primary responsibility for this position is tax receipting. This position is also responsible for the tax informational delivery functions of the Treasurer's department
What will you be doing?
* Responsible for the receipting of tax payments made by both counter and through the mail
* Answers incoming phone calls
* Answering general tax payment questions
* Assists in day to day office functions such as processing mail, filing, preparing/mailing pre-drafted letters and printing/sorting
* Other duties as assigned
What are the minimum qualifications?
* Six months work experience in an office setting
* Experience in customer service regarding monetary transactions preferred
* Experience with computer programs such as MS Word and Excel preferred
* Typing speed of 40 wpm preferred
