Tax ManagerPosition OverviewThe Tax Manager will oversee the tax compliance and planning functions for a diverse portfolio of clients, primarily high net worth individuals and various business entities. The role involves managing tax preparation, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and providing strategic tax planning advice.Key Responsibilities
- Manage and review tax returns for individuals, S-Corps, C-Corps, partnerships, and trusts.
- Provide expert tax planning and compliance services to high net worth individuals and business clients.
- Supervise and mentor junior tax staff, ensuring quality and accuracy in tax preparation and compliance.
- Stay updated on tax law changes and implement strategies to minimize clients' tax liabilities.
- Conduct tax research and provide recommendations on tax issues and strategies.
- Prepare and review complex tax returns including 1040, 1120S, 1065, and 709.
- Assist clients with IRS audits and inquiries, providing necessary documentation and support.
- Coordinate with clients and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting or tax consulting.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
- Experience with high net worth individuals and pass-through entities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and tax software.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
