Tax Manager, Real Estate Services GroupLocation: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)Type: Permanent Position**Overview:**Our client is seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join their Real Estate Services Group, focusing on tax credit incentive properties, including Low-Income Housing, Historic Rehabilitation, New Markets, and Renewable Energy credits.**Key Responsibilities:**- Oversee the planning, supervision, review, and completion of real estate tax work and tax returns for a diverse client portfolio.- Utilize in-depth knowledge of tax credit real estate properties to ensure compliance and provide strategic consulting.- Identify and drive process improvements to enhance performance and efficiency.- Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring consistent communication and alignment with tax compliance and consulting requirements.- Conduct thorough research on current tax compliance and consulting issues to deliver high-quality solutions.- Collaborate closely with partners, team members, and other personnel to achieve client goals and objectives.**Qualifications:**- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.- CPA or equivalent certification (required).- At least 6 years of experience in tax compliance and management, with a strong preference for experience with pass-through entity tax credits (LIHTC, HTC, NMTC).- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with strong technical skills.- Excellent analytical abilities, leadership qualities, and communication skills.- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a team and mentor others.- A commitment to upholding the highest standards of professional ethics.**Equal Opportunity Employer:**Metasys Technologies is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
