Job Description: Responsibilities- BT Prep is Baker Tilly's nationally centralized processing center established to gain efficiency, standardize processes, reduce costs but most importantly to more effectively utilize the time of our accounting professionals. While prior tax preparation experience is ideal, experience is not necessary. We will teach you what you need to know to successfully prepare client tax returns and the most exciting part of it all, your training will be 100% paid for! Baker Tilly offers a professional, yet fun work environment. You will feel at home quickly and will be supported by tax specialists who are available to help guide you and answer questions. Full-time or flexible hours available, paid training will be provided and there is the opportunity to return each tax season.

What you will do:- As a Preparer you will be an integral member of the firm's centralized tax processing center. Responsibilities include:
- Enter personal client data and financial information into tax preparation software
- Prepare tax returns in accordance with firm policies, ensure information is accurately represented
- Adhere to the firm's written tax practice standards and the firm's 1040 procedure manual
- Ensure client confidentiality by following all company procedures regarding information handling
Qualifications- High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Individual tax return preparation experience ideal, but not required
- Knowledge of basic accounting concepts involved in tax return preparation preferred
- Adaptable to new technology, ability to work in a paperless environment, and ability to learn using instructional guides and videos
- Keen sense of accuracy and attention to detail
- Demonstrated critical thinking, well-developed problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently
- A professional demeanor and the ability to handle matters confidentially
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Basic Excel skills, required
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat, preferred
- Ability to obtain PTIN during initial onboarding and training weeks
- Availability to work a minimum of 30 hours per week Monday-Friday between the hours 8am-8pm your local time
- Availability to work mid-January 2025 through early-April 2025
