Job DetailsJob DetailsWe are seeking an experienced Tax Senior Associate to join our growing firm. This position offers an exciting opportunity to exercise your tax expertise in a fast-paced, innovative environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax review, federal and state tax, gift tax, and compilations. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of tax and accounting. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing tax assignments and projects, ensuring the efficiency of tax procedures, and maintaining a high level of client service.Responsibilities1. Managing and coordinating tax preparation.2. Preparing and reviewing federal and state income tax returns and estimates, and implementing tax plans.3. Researching and resolving complex tax issues and implications of new tax laws.4. Assisting with tax planning and consulting for clients, including research on complex tax matters.5. Maintaining knowledge of current tax practices and changes in tax law.6. Preparing and reviewing gift tax returns.7. Coordinating with accounting staff to gather and analyze financial data.8. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.9. Providing support in the development of tax strategies to maximize profitability and efficiency.10. Mentoring and training junior staff members, promoting professional development within the team.Qualifications1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax review, federal and state tax, gift tax, and compilations.3. In-depth knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns.4. Strong knowledge of tax software and databases.5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.6. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax information in a clear and concise manner.7. High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.8. Proven leadership skills with a track record of developing junior staff.9.
