DescriptionTax AccountantAn expanding distribution organization is seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join their accomplished team. This role offers a unique chance for an individual to work across diverse business units in our organization. The compensation includes an attractive salaryand comprehensive benefits package that comprises healthcare, dental, vision, 401k, profit sharing, and generous PTO.Key Duties and Responsibilities:+ Complete and file corporate Sales and Use Tax returns.+ Undertake research to ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations. Handle queries from vendors and customers by preparing tax exemption certificates.+ Coordinate with the pricing administrator to ensure customer setup and compliance.+ Complete Business Licenses and other necessary filings for the company.+ Support the handling of state and local sales and use tax audits with government agencies.+ Provide sales tax training to relevant business locations and departments.+ Create journal entries and reconciliations for monthly general ledger close of sales and use tax liabilities.+ Take on special projects as assigned by the Controller or CFO. Interact with multiple business departments to address financial and accounting concerns.+ Evaluate and advise on amendments to sales and use tax compliance and procedures.+ Aid in corporate tax compliance and preparation of state annual reports.+ Support human resources and payroll department regarding payroll tax requirements.RequirementsQualifications:The ideal candidate should possess the skills and abilities listed below.
