We are currently seeking an experienced Tax Supervisor who can add value to our growing Tax department with their strong accounting expertise. This individual will primarily be focusing on accurately preparing and filing state and federal tax documents. We are looking for a well-versed individual who exhibits excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Prepare tax returns for high net worth individual, S corporations, partnerships and fiduciary income tax returns as well as estate and gifts tax returns
- Review tax returns and projects of Tax Staff while gaining increasing responsibility with the review process
- Prepare and review fiduciary accountings for estates and trusts
- Identify estate and income tax planning opportunities.
- Perform tax research and articulate results concisely to clients and other team members both orally and in writing on matters specifically related to estate, gift and trust related issues
- Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities
- Manage and maintain relationships with clients; manage work for the entire process from start to finish
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- CPA, JD, or EA license is required
- Estate, gift and trust experience required.
- 5+ years of recent general income tax experience in a public accounting firm
- Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and all types of tax returns
- Experience supervising, managing teams, and mentoring staff
- Ability to independently manage multiple engagements, prioritize workload for competing projects
- Understanding of accounting firm economics and general billing practices
- Outstanding leadership, collaboration, communication, organizational, and analytical skills

- The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 to $110,000. Individual salaries are determined through multiple factors permitted by law including but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certification, knowledge, skills and qualifications. WG also offers a comprehensive benefits package and performance award (bonus) eligibility where you'll be recognized and rewarded based on your performance.
