ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES: As a Systems Engineering Technician for Tactical Control Systems, you'll be a member a cross functional team responsible for supporting system software and architecture design in our continued commitment of providing the US and Royal Australian Navies the highest quality software. We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: Served in the US Navy's Submarine Force as a Fire Control or Sonar Technician and received an honorable discharge, experience in Systems Engineering requirements processes, experience supporting design FDDs for customer review. Duties and Responsibilities: FDD decomposition into functional requirements Mapping requirements to design Supporting design reviews, leading design activites Updating scripted testing What you bring to the table: US Navy FT A School experience Service as a Fire Control Technician in the US Submarine Force FT (SS) Prior testing experience within BYG-1 or SWFTS MS Word proficientcy What sets you apart: Prior submarine service as either an FT or STS Experience with AN/BYG-1 TI18 APB19 or later Combat Control System Experience using IBM Rational DOORS Experience in the SAFe Agile Process Framework Our Commitment to You: An exciting career path with opportunities for continuous learning and development. Candidates considering applying should be aware of this upcoming change in location. Target salary range: USD $64,664.20/Yr. - USD $69,968.65/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities Basic Qualifications Requires a Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent (4 years job-related experience). CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
