Job SummaryThis position is at Auburn Jail and/or South Placer County Jail. This position is 7-21 hours per week, 2-4 days per week. Appropriate Valid CA Credential is required. This position requires the selected candidate to hold a multiple subject credential or a single subject credential or a designated subject adult ed teaching credential. The successful candidate will have the ability to: - Make academic assessments, track progress, and maintain accurate educational records. - Develop and correct diagnostic tests. - Use effective classroom management techniques to ensure the security of the classroom environment. - Develop lesson plans and include individualized training for assignments. - Provide individual and group instruction and educational counseling. - Work cooperatively with other education staff. - Learn and adhere to departmental rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Selected candidate must be willing to teach distance learning when needed. - Selected Candidate must clear the Sheriff Departments background check and will be required to complete FBI/DOJ clearance and pre-employment online training.Requirements / QualificationsPlease include the following required documents with your application for this position:
