Ensure a safe, healthy learning environment for children ages 3-5.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:Be knowledgeable about developmentally appropriate practices and the Head Start Performance Standards, planning according to the individual needs of each child, completing education paperwork, conducting developmental assessments, documenting assessment data in the web-based data management system, conducting observations of children daily, encouraging family engagement in the program, conducting home visits per the Performance Standards, maintaining a safe and healthy environment, providing Responsive Caregiving to all children and promoting the school readiness of children and families in the program. Applicants must be skilled in building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.Qualifications:QUALIFICATIONS: Preschool CDA or Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education. If the applicant does not meet this requirement, must be willing to obtain a CDA within one year of hire.
