Works as part of a team in the classroom and within the whole center to promote the social, physical and intellectual growth of children by providing developmentally appropriate care; observing and documenting children's learning and development; and communicating with parents and center team members. Education. A minimum of 9 credits in Early Childhood Education, including 3 from a Child Growth and Development class, all from a regionally accredited college. Certification, Registration & Licensure. Certification required to obtain: Must be certified in Infant and Child CPR including AED training, and Basic First Aid within 6 months of hire; must complete Water Safety training within 1 year of employment. Experience. Must be at least 18 years of age and have a minimum of one years experience working with young children in a group setting. Responsibilities.
