The New England Center for Children is seeking a full-time fellow teacher who will work in a K-12 public school district while completing coursework towards a Master's in Education. This fellowship will provide invaluable field experience in special education. Extensive training provided and previous experience credited! Fellows will work under the direct supervision of the Partner Program Lead Teacher. The fellow is responsible for supporting students across various settings within the public school. The fellow works directly with students to help them acquire skills and participate successfully throughout the school day. Gain knowledge and skills by implementing plans and lessons to address students' clinical, educational, social, vocational, and daily living skills objectives.Job Responsibilities:
- Direct instruction for children with autism in both sub-separate and inclusion classrooms
- Paid time each day to complete case management responsibilities, which may include:
- Data summary
- Generating lesson materials
- Modifying curriculum
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to carry out written and verbal instructions

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field with a 3.0 GPA preferred
- Interest in working with children or young adults in a special education setting
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Successful completion of NECC required training, including CALM safety training to teach de-escalation strategies and procedures to manage challenging behavior in the safest way possible.
