Be a part of a mission-driven environment where teamwork and excellence make a difference every day!The Location: Taconic Biosciences is seeking a Team Coordinator Animal Production to join our dedicated Operations team at our Seattle, WA site.The Pay Range: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors. These factors include geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions and could exceed the advertised salary range, however, please note that the upper end of the range is not guaranteed to be offered.The Schedule: Shifts starting as early as 5:00am Monday - Friday. Rotating weekends will be required once trained with a pay differential included.What we offer:

If you are looking for a rewarding career and the opportunity to grow, apply today!The Role:As a Team Coordinator in Animal Production, you will play a key role in ensuring the seamless daily operations of our animal care team. This position involves training and motivating staff, coordinating supplies, and maintaining compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs). You will lead by example, conducting audits, facilitating communication through daily huddles, and ensuring production goals are met. Additionally, you'll support data entry, recordkeeping, and the creation of key documents, all while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.   • Assist supervisory staff in training new employees.
  • Back up animal care technicians as required.
  • Coordinate and order supplies.
  • Enter information into databases.
  • Inform Supervisor or Manager of problems.
  • Audit work of Animal Care Technicians, including line audits, SOP compliance, and recordkeeping and packing accuracy.
  • Ensure that production goals are met, initiate changes if necessary.
  • Provide input to supervisor on performance of Animal Care Technicians.
  • Create documents, including COPC and E-Pack.
  • Hold daily huddles with Barrier Leaders.
  • Promote a positive work environment.
Education and Experience:
  • Associate degree (A. A.) from two-year college or technical school, or technical/managerial experience at an equivalent level.
  • AALAS certifications, LVT/CVT preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience and/or training.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing to all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to effectively relay information in one-on-one and/or small group situations.
  • Ability to listen attentively and understand other people's points of view.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:This role requires regular physical activity, including climbing, crouching, crawling, and lifting items up to 50 pounds. Employees will regularly work with chemicals, heavy machinery, and protective measures, with exposure to occupational hazards requiring special precautions. The work environment may involve extremes in temperature, outdoor conditions, strong odors, and elevated noise levels.
