City/State Harrisonburg, VAOverviewWork Shift First (Days) (United States of America)Additional Job DescriptionSentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital is hiring a Team Coordinator Security Officer - Full TimeAs aTeam Coordinator Security Officer with Sentara, you will ensure a physically safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and employees. This position's primary duties assume responsibility, accountability, and provides leadership for daily operations, coordination of work, quality and service, and team member supervision in assigned area. Facilitate the work of assignment teams through the scheduling and assignment of staff, coordination of quality improvement activities, resolution of customer service issues, and management and monitoring or resource utilization. Special Conservators of the Peace are law enforcement officers' who have the powers, functions, duties, responsibilities and authority of any other conservator of the peace as the court deems appropriate. As a SCOP, must understand Virginia law as it pertains to their responsibilities and understanding probable cause for issuing Emergency Custody Orders and Temporary Detention Orders. Must be familiar with detaining patients, arresting, applying handcuff and maintaining a safe environment for those individuals. Responsible for remaining with individuals under an ECO for up to 8 hours or until a bed can be located. Operates the Taser within the scope of training. Completes all required annual training.
