The program provides meaningful and relevant work experience, professionaldevelopment activities, and offers interns networking opportunities with other interns across theCommonwealth, all while working alongside state government officials. The Team Kentucky Internship Program isdesigned to be a prestigious and competitive program; therefore, interested applicants must complete an onlineapplication and be vetted through an interview process. Those selected for the program will perform valuablework in our state agencies.To be considered for a position in the Team Kentucky Internship Program, candidates must:
  • Be enrolled at an accredited Kentucky post-secondary school or other educational institution approvedby the Kentucky Personnel Cabinet.
  • Be in good standing with the school with at least a 2.5 grade point average at hire.
Interested applicants must upload their unofficial transcript when applying to TKIP positions.About the Kentucky Public Pensions AuthorityLocated in Frankfort, Kentucky, the Kentucky Public Pensions Authority (KPPA) is responsible for the dailyadministration of three state administered retirement systems with nearly $25 billion in combined assets.These systems have a membership of approximately 433,000 state and local government employees in theCommonwealth of Kentucky, including state employees, state police officers, city and county employees, as wellas non-teaching staff of local school boards and regional universities.As an Investment Intern, you will perform the functions of an Investment Analyst which will help you understandInvestments, Portfolio Management, Investment Research and Pension Funds.Students with a major in business, finance or economics are preferred. Additional preferred skills include aproficiency in Excel, Power Point, and financial modeling.What You'll Need to Succeed
