We are seeking an experienced Team Lead in Ann Arbor, Michigan that is responsible for achieving safety, quality, and productivity goals through working with the manufacturing supervisor and development of employees/processes, efficient scheduling of resources, and continuous improvement.

This is a 2nd shift position 2:30pm - 11:00pm Mon-Fri. Must be willing to train for two months on 1st shift (10:00AM-6:30PM).

This position will pay $21.86 per hour

Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and training.

  • Work with the production supervisor to assist in the development and implementation of production capacity plan in order to meet established goals.
  • Work with the production supervisor to ensure weekly production schedules and KPI's are met according to open orders, backlog, and Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
  • Oversee day to day operations of assigned team
  • Coordinate daily with associates to ensure efficient production output
  • Inform production supervisor of any issues including those with the flow of raw materials, WIP, scrap, and finished goods.
  • Monitor Key Process Indicator (KPI) metrics for production operations.
  • Lead High-Performance Work Team.
  • Provide assistance to associates as necessary to complete the job at hand
  • Fill in for associates on the line, as necessary
  • Train associates on proper work methods and safety
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company policies

Management Responsibilities: This position leads production associates but has no direct supervision responsibilities

Education and Experience

  • 1-year minimum experience in manufacturing or operations
  • Understanding of ISO requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal, written, and visual
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel
  • Ability to work well with all groups of people
  • Ability to direct and motivate team members
  • Experience in battery manufacturing preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must be comfortable building products for US and ally military testing and use.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Accurate and detail oriented
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities

ITAR REQUIREMENTS: To conform to U.S. Government International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) the individual must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
