Position Title: Team Lead

Location: South Plainfield, NJ

Shift: M-F 7:30pm-4:00am

What You Will Do

  • Responsible for the Shift Lead tasks
  • Check inventory and replenish consumable sequencing supplies, including tracking and documenting key reagents.
  • Ability to perform routine maintenance, monthly maintenance, and qualifications of key equipment.
  • Assist with sample receiving
  • Assist with maintenance and preparation for Internal and External Audits.
  • Assist, execute and implement CAPA.
  • Manage direct reports including setting schedules, performing 1 to 1 meetings and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs and the AZENTA brand.
  • Assist with extra responsibilities when the Leadership is away from the office
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned
  • What You Will Bring

  • BS Degree in Biological Sciences or equivalent experience required
  • Previous experience leading a team or group within AZENTA is preferred
  • 2+ years of lab work experience preferred
  • Knowledge of interpreting data
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; both verbal and written are essential
  • Closely follow Standard Operating Protocol (SOP)
  • Must be able to work all shifts
  • Be an effective team-player committed to company goals
  • Ability to react to situations with a “sense of urgency” and responsibility
