Location: Tampa,FL, USA
Under general supervision of medical and nursing staff, following policies, procedures and professional guidelines, assists with surgical and endoscopy procedures, provides, assembles and cares for surgical supplies, instruments and equipment before, during and after procedures. Assists with cleaning, restocking and processing of the surgical suite, instruments and equipment as needed. Identifies and reports situations requiring intervention to the RN or Clinician. Serves as a clinical preceptor for new OR scrub tech and OR technician students and serves as a resource person in at least five surgical specialty areas. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.
CST Certification from AST or NCCT required and graduate of a Surgical Technologist/LPN training program. Experience requirements are based on type of training program. Hospital Based program plus 10 years; Associate degree program plus 2 years required, or equivalent Military qualifications. 4 years preferred; other non-Associate's Degree program plus 5 years. Experience in colorectal service lines and robotics required.
