Description

Ansonia Mead Elementary and Ansonia Middle School are looking to hire Team Leaders that will serve as the administrative designee in the principal's absence.

• Notify Principal of issues that need immediate attention and/or follow the chain of command where necessary.
• Obtain MERT Certification and be Rx trained at their assigned building.
• Serve on the following committees:

• CRISIS Team
• Culture & Climate team (Safe School Climate Specialist)

Participate in and/or facilitate the following:

• PPT Coordination
• After school events/meetings in alignment with the AEA contract for after school events and meetings
• Recruitment and/or referral review efforts
• Agency wide and school level leadership meetings where appropriate

Contribute to and support a positive school climate and culture.

Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with building based and district stakeholders regarding student needs, e.g., transportation, scheduling, PPT Planning.

Participate in specialized Professional Development sessions to continue leadership development and share relevant learning with team members and colleagues where appropriate.

Model leadership for the school through positive communications and actions at meetings, events, and in everyday professional responsibilities.

Facilitate R/S compliance through CTSEDS, PowerSchool Platforms, and district notification.

Collaborate across teams to support staff and student needs, e.g., scheduling, absences, transportation needs.

Maintain confidentiality.

Per mutual agreement, may be asked to perform other responsibilities related to team/school/program.

Qualifications

Valid SDE Certification and one or more of the following preferred:

• Prior team leadership role
• Current or prior enrollment in an educational leadership program
