ReDiscover has been known for over 50 years as a non-profit community mental health center in southeastern Jackson County, Missouri with a mission of delivering efficient and cost-effective treatment for the people we serve. WHAT WE DO

ReDiscover's Thrive Center is a short-term mental health residential treatment program, diverting individuals from hospitalization. We provide intensive therapeutic services for clients, including clinical case management, therapy, group opportunities, and medication management. Our clients benefit from a collaborative treatment team in receiving individualized care tailored towards their needs.

A typical day may include the following roles and responsibilities:

  • Direct supervisory responsibilities including supervision of assigned department staff; based on the structure of the program, this could be exempt employees, non-exempt employees, or a combination of both.
  • Significant cooperation with internal sources (administration, program managers, team leaders, etc.) and external sources (police, courts, managed care companies, and all other referral sources) to ensure that the services provided are of the highest quality, accessible in a timely fashion, and produce positive outcomes for those we serve.
  • Provides feedback and reports to appropriate management staff and, as appropriate, to funding sources.
  • Actively participate in leadership meetings.
  • Collect and maintain information about clients and document interactions within ReDiscover's designated electronic medical record.
  • Communicate and collaborate with an internal multi-disciplinary team to address various aspects of wellness and ensure positive communication regarding the coordination of client care.

We are focused on your development and will spend time helping you continue to grow as a Team Leader. However, here are some things that you will need prior to starting with ReDiscover:

  • Availability to work a full-time schedule (40-hours a pay-period), Monday-Friday 10:00 am-6:30 pm or 3:00 pm-11:30 pm.
  • Masters or Doctorate Degree in a social science field (as defined by the Department of Mental Health) preferred.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a social science field (as defined by the Department of Mental Health).
  • Two (2) years of experience in direct service provision in a mental health setting.
  • Working knowledge of mental illness and substance use disorders.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a recovery focus.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as GSuite.
