Reports To: Program ManagerDepartment: Drop - In CenterLocation: 1400 W. GreenleafDirect Service Target: 100 unitsJob SummaryThe Team Leader manages activities of the Beacon Drop-In Center including individual and group services, socialization services, and basic case management/referral services.They will provide direct supervision for Beacon employees and/or students/Interns, run scheduled team meetings, assist in developing employee schedules and activities, and ensure quality service delivery to clients.They will also oversee the Peer Services collaboration, consultation and coordination across Trilogy programs, ensuring all peer staff have the training and support they need.The Team Leader will deliver quality individual and group services, job support, crisis intervention, and training in independent living skills to clients.They will offer and exemplify hope, support, and recovery-based services.The Team Leader will provide and ensure the team provides client-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed services to clients with severe mental illness and co-occurring substance abuse/addiction disorders utilizing a harm reduction approach.Essential ResponsibilitiesProvide effective supervision and coaching to all assigned team members. Orient and train new employees to provide quality services to clients.Ensure continued education and training for assigned employees to strengthen services provided.Manage Beacon operations; i.e. inventory and management of supplies. Regularly restock office, laundry/shower area, and café.Coordinate assistance from other departments to address Beacon specific issues; i.e. Maintenance, Information Technology, etc.Ensure the completion of routine safety drills in accordance with organization policies, procedures, and COVID-19 guidelinesProvide support to Beacon employees and reception to enhance safety of employees and clients.Coordinate with internal departments and external community partners for special events and/or donations (i.e. committee events for clients, haircuts, guest speakers, etc.)Coordinate with School Field Supervisors as needed for student/Intern placement.Provide individual skill building services around social communication, coping and problem solving, self-care, symptom self-management, and community integration to help educate and promote recovery and wellness goals for clientsFacilitate milieu-based interventions intended to result in improving or maintaining the client's ability to function in a variety of interpersonal situationsFacilitate bi-weekly All Peer Staff meetings to provide training, consultation, and support.Oversee and manage CRSS certification requirements for peer staff across the organization.Consult and partner with other departments for coordination of care for clientsPerform other related duties and/or projects as assigned.QualificationsMust be an MHP per Medicaid rule with at least 3 years' experience working in community mental health requiredMust self-identify as a past or present consumer of mental health and/or substance use services, and willing to share their storyCertified Recovery Support Specialist certification preferred or must obtain within 12 months of hire.Supervisory or leadership experience highly preferredDemonstrated experience with leading a group discussion and appreciation of the health and human service needs of vulnerable populations.Ability to work with vulnerable populations in a non-judgmental manner and ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary teamAbility to be flexible and adaptable in a variety of situations
