This role offers flexible day shift hours, from 6 AM - 2:30 PM or 6:30 AM - 3 PM, with availability required for alternating weekends and holidays. As team leader, you will play a key role in guiding and supporting the team, ensuring Transport Monitor Technicians meet performance goals while maintaining the highest service standards. Apply today to join a great team and receive a robust Totals Reward package!!Responsibilities:* Coordinate and assist with evaluating and training all personnel within the designated area of responsibility.* Perform all duties outlined in the Transport position, ensuring the efficient transportation of patients and equipment.* Report any issues, concerns, or suggestions to the Shift Supervisor to maintain operational effectiveness.* Organize and coordinate monthly in-service training sessions for the department, in collaboration with the Manager.* Maintain control over the location, inspection, and upkeep of wheelchairs and stretchers to ensure they are operational and safe.* Support Supervisors in conducting monthly system-wide competencies for current staff, ensuring all personnel are proficient in their roles.* Foster positive working relationships with unit personnel and Supervisors, promoting effective communication and teamwork.* Ensure all team members complete their assigned duties and report to their designated locations, maintaining workflow efficiency.* In the absence of the Shift Supervisor, temporarily assume supervisory responsibilities, including decision-making and oversight of daily operations.* Maintain a professional, courteous demeanor at all times, ensuring appropriate communication with patients, visitors, hospital personnel, and colleagues.Qualifications:Required:* HS Diploma/GED.* 2 years relevant experience* Knowledgeable about all safety, universal precaution, fire, evacuation, emergency care, and disaster policies and procedures* Knowledgeable of all transporter responsibilities and hospital layout* Requires the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in order to successfully complete Transport duties and the ability to use Transport equipment* Ability to handle multiple demands in high stress and emergency situations* Ability to communicate professional with various user groupsLicensure, Certifications, and Clearances:CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire* Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran
