Central Transport provides patient transportation within the hospital. Transporters often discharge patients after their stay is complete. Our transporters are often the first employees a patient interacts with upon admission and the last as they are leaving. Excellent customer service skills and ability to put patients at ease are a must. Transporters also assist with equipment moves and will respond to patient codes to assist in the care of critically ill patients. Transporters are dispatched using an electronic flow-board with a queuing system for pages. The department is staffed from 5:30 am - 2:00 am, 7 days a week.
