The GreenJackets are looking to hire an intern for the 2025 Season in our Marketing Department engaging in community relations, social media and overall management of all in-game promotions. This is a tremendous opportunity for a December 2024 graduate, or a May 2024 graduate to get the experience you need, along with training to learn the inside of a sports business.The GreenJackets will pay 100% for your housing in this role, we have special intern housing for you and other interns, and we cover all your expenses. Further, we provide you with a monthly stipend of $600 for your other expenses.What You Will Learn and Do:
- As an intern in our marketing department your role will be focused on all items that our marketing team engages in to drive fans to our park each season.
- You will be assigned to handle our community relations initiatives, which could mean attending community relation events in the community with our mascot or staff. You further will handle donation requests and any items that require our team to engage with the community and our fans during games and in the preparation for our season.
- You will be assigned projects with social media as needed as they relate to promotions and community engagement.
- You will manage seasonal staff, after you have been trained for a variety of duties we have in our stadium, such as our fun zone, in game prize wheel, launch a ball and other in game activities on the field.
- You will have internal administrative duties as defined by the director and will support video production, player relations, media relations, ticket sales needs, as well as any other marketing projects as assigned.
- You will be asked to engage in graphic projects and or updating of collateral with graphics.
- You will engage with a variety of departments and learn our business as a true marketing generalist.
- You will manage our mascot program all season and engage with seasonal staff who play the role of Auggie .
- You will work with media relations and ensure that any data needed is provided and correct.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- To be considered for this role you must be a May 2024 graduate or have an anticipated graduation December 2024 from a college or university in sports management, or marketing/communications related field.
- If you need this role to graduate in May 2025, that is acceptable, however you must be present starting February 2025 in our team on a daily basis.
- This position requires you are present for every GreenJackets home game as you will manage, as well as occasional special events held at SRP Park, as assigned by their manager, which can include long hours, weeknights, weekends, in various weather conditions.
- You should have some experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
- Experience working in a sports organization in a marketing or in-game promotions.
- You must have knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- You must be self-motivated attitude with ability to work independently with little supervision to achieve marketing goals during GreenJackets games.
- Strong detail-orientation coupled with strong time management skills required.
- Ideally you will have creative mind that is willing to think outside the box, keeping up with the latest trends within graphic design and today's pop culture.
