Team Member- Filler Operator

Overview
The Filler Operator is responsible for understanding and following all assigned tasks and abiding by all safety requirements. They are responsible for operating their equipment as per their training as well as maintaining the cleanliness and material requirements for their specified piece of equipment.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 10:50pm-7:00am; must be able to work weekends as needed.
Starting Wage: $23.50/hour
Responsibilities:
- Reporting to work area on time every day.
- Entering and reacting to all IPM data as stated in the IPM standards associated with their area.
- Maintaining all Internal and External KOV's.
- Cleaning work area during / at end of shift – this includes floor, catch pans, barrels, and other equipment.
- Operating and adjusting machines according to the standards associated with each SKU and maintaining proper set-ups.
- Running the line and changing over in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintaining proper level of materials for continuous operation.
- Using / Pushing totes for material and waste control.
- Participating actively in team meetings and training sessions.
- On shutdown: returning all necessary equipment to sanitation and ensuring work area is properly shut down.
- Communicating problems upstream and downstream to fellow Team Members, using IPM Messenger.
- Alerting team leaders / maintenance of any problems.
- Performing timely and efficient changeovers.
- Communicating with relief shift each day.
- Can be relied upon to complete assigned tasks.
- Complies with established Departmental and Organizational policies and procedures.
- Works within a team environment to meet/exceed established production standards
Requirements:
- After thorough training, employee must be able to operate assigned equipment. Cross-training in various areas is encouraged.
- Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds independently
- Must be able to frequently push/pull up to 50 pounds independently
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work closely with others in a team atmosphere.
- Must be able to communicate with and advise team members and managers of
difficulties or problems encountered.
- Ability to work assigned hours, including required overtime.
- Must be able to read, write and understand instructions, warnings, labels and postings in English effectively.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Must follow dress code and maintain a professional appearance.
- Must adhere to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards as well as HAACP compliance and other food safety and workplace safety initiatives
