This is a hybrid position that will have identified locations to support, and initiatives assigned to them which may require travel throughout the region. Work will be accomplished through a combination of virtual and in-person presence. Team members can expect to be on-site 2-3 days per week on average.

Job Summary

The Team Member Safety Team is a system team that seeks to utilize data and improvement methodologies to identify, develop, implement, and lead programs and process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing team member safety in both clinical and non-clinical areas across the Corewell Health System in collaboration with operational leaders and multidisciplinary teams. Examples of areas of focus for this team are workplace violence, patient handling, sharps injuries, slip/trip/falls, etc...

Assists with analysis to identify opportunities for improvement, measure the effectiveness of current and future processes, and develop sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable process with respect to quality improvements.

Essential Functions

+ Supports and drives improvement activities for accountable areas based on organizational priorities (project management, measurable deliverables, milestones, and data informed strategy).

+ Serves as a liaison between various departments across the Corewell Health System. Communicates, collaborates, networks with and acts as a change agent to key stakeholders. Also ensures continuity and coordination of services with appropriate utilization of resources. Responsible for stakeholder management across collaboration within dept and organizational resources.

+ Drives continuous assessment and improvements using appropriate tools and methodology within the business, assists stakeholders and process owners in prioritizing improvement opportunities.

+ Identifies and deploys strategic interventions in response to team member safety data to reduce risk and harm with optimizing team member work environments.

+ Identifies, develops, and engages in strategic partnerships across the organization to implement best practices to reduce harm and optimize workplace experience for team members.

+ Develops resources and engages leaders to respond effectively to team members in a compassionate and supportive manner.

+ Assists in driving adoption of team member safety programs across the system that promotes and reflects best practices while navigating the complexity within the system.

+ Competent in application of improvement sciences to drive performance improvement initiatives related to Team Member Safety and able to mentor and share improvement knowledge and skills with other.

Qualifications

Required

+ Required Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Healthcare related field

+ 2 years of relevant experience Quality, Safety health and safety standards experience Required

Preferred

+ 1 year of relevant experience Participation on improvement initiatives Preferred

+ LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - State of Michigan State of MI clinical licensure, as applicable Preferred
