Position Summary The Assembly Team Operator is responsible for operating equipment, performing product segregation and quality inspections, managing product disposition and documentation, and carrying out manual assembly tasks as needed. This role also involves basic preventive maintenance, equipment changeovers, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with SOPs and specifications. The operator will also handle data collection and product disposition tasks. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform startup and ongoing equipment and product inspections per applicable documentation and quality standards. Segregate and disposition products based on inspection results and equipment performance. Conduct shop floor data collection and ensure accurate recording of relevant data. Perform manual assembly and rework tasks as required. Initiate corrective actions to prevent nonconformances related to product and processes, and document nonconformances and holds when necessary. Scan products into the MRP system, conduct testing, and create traceability labels. Identify and recommend solutions to quality or safety concerns through designated communication channels. Ensure compliance with company policies, FDA regulations, GMP, and ISO requirements. Assist in the training of new operators, providing guidance on procedures and equipment. Perform chemical mixing operations as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned. Work Environment The role involves working with manufacturing equipment or being in close proximity to machinery. Employees may be exposed to biohazards and/or chemicals. The work environment can range from clean room settings with gowning requirements to open production areas that may be noisy with moving equipment. Physical demands include standing, walking, stooping, crouching, climbing, and repetitive motion involving hands, wrists, and upper body. Requires focused visual attention for product inspections and quality checks. Travel is minimal (less than 5% of the time). Qualifications Knowledge & Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in using computers and related software. Adequate fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Sound judgment in product disposition and decision-making. Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience Must be at least 18 years of age. High School Diploma or GED required. Less than 1 year of experience, with a background in manufacturing preferred.
