Join us for a rewarding career in the aviation industry!BECOME A TECH WASH AGENT!Our Tech Wash Agent position requires the employee to perform an in-depth cleaning of specified areas of an aircraft. Scrub, scrape, detail, and wash the exterior and interior parts and components of the aircraft.WHAT IT'S LIKE TO WORK AS A TECH WASH AGENTPre-checks are performed on all equipment/vehicles and loading of required chemicals for designated washes during that shiftThe ability to follow airline specific guidelines with tasks pertaining to the detailed cleaning processAttach or remove proper pitot tube and static port covers and document on aircraft wash record or airline designated formsPlace the vacuum and water dams around the aircraft to collect all liquids that drip onto the ground and any drains that are covered to protect from contaminationPlace soap in mop buckets, apply to aircraft, starting from the bottom, working upwards with mopheads/pads attached to polesWash exterior of aircraft to remove dirt, insect spots, grease, stains, oil streaking, and exhaust/carbon trailsDuring and after the rinse, the contaminated water is squeezed to the vacuum system for removal, be sure to not leave any standing water/soap/chemical in the shadow of aircraftA power washer will be used to rinse the soap and dirt from the aircraft while working from the ground or using a ladderPolish metallic surfaces, clean/scrape seat tracks, and wipe down the interior structure of aircraftComplete a FOD walk to verify that the work area is clean of equipment/chemicals and debris freeInspect and evaluate the quality of work and practice safe work methodsRequired to wear personal protective equipment (PPE): raingear, rubber boots, safety glasses, face shield, rubber gloves, Tyvek suit, and respiratorMay be assigned other duties as requiredQUALIFICATIONS18 years of age or olderEligible to work in the United StatesAbility to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documentsAbility to use electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile DevicesEffectively communicate both in-person and through electronic meansPass a background check and drug screenEligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)Ability to work any day/shift, including holidays, within a 24/7 operation Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential requirement satisfactorily.
