This is a hybrid role, working at a AAA studio based in Boston. Generous relocation assistance will be provided - candidates can start remotely and move at a later date.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the US and the studio are not able to provide visa sponsorship or transfers.
My client is working on the sequel to a high-budget AAA Open World RPG, developed in UE5.
The ideal candidate will have expertise across rendering & graphics and the ability to push boundaries with visuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Art Director to implement the artistic vision through innovative technical solutions.
- Recruit, lead, and develop a team of technical artists.
- Define and uphold best practices for optimization and performance.
- Support team growth through mentorship and career development.
- Work closely with Art and Engineering teams to achieve high-quality visuals.
- Create and refine visual assets, tools, and pipelines for optimal performance.
- Solve complex technical art challenges and document workflows.
- Optimize content pipelines and oversee outsourcing efforts.
- Coordinate with directors and Production to plan and meet project timelines.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience as a Technical Artist, including leadership roles.
- Advanced knowledge of UE5, blueprints, and pipeline workflows.
- Strong artistic and technical capabilities with a portfolio showcasing expertise.
- Proficiency with tools like Houdini, Blender, and Substance Designer.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Deep passion for gaming and innovation.
