Technical Assembler I - 1st ShiftChippewa Falls, WI ( TypeFull-timeDescriptionOVERVIEWCadrex is searching for a Technical Assembler I who will be responsible for performing highly detailed assembly of small, complex components into sub-assemblies using a variety of hand & power tools, fixtures, work instructions and test equipment, perform a series of operations to correctly assemble parts.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSupport precision assembly lines that require a specialty trained area of skill set to meet quality specificationsComplete rigorous training process and become certified in specialty areaEnsure fit, clearance, alignment, and functional performance complies with design requirementsPrepare and use fixtures to aid in locating, bonding, or drilling aircraft partsPossess a combination of dexterity and mechanical skills with the ability to determine and decipherPerform often repetitive, detailed, and complicated assembly of complex components accurately including precise drilling, deburring, and countersinkingRead, interpret, and follow detailed blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of material, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble productsComplete all paperwork required including clocking in/out of jobs and issuing components/hardware in ERPUtilize hand and pneumatic tools safely to complete assembly. Includes: install and remove temporary fasteners, countersink holes, deburr parts, rivet parts, install and torque bolts/nutsReport problems with quality, processes, equipment, and materials to LeadUtilize 6S tools and procedures to maintain an organized and well-maintained work areaPack parts for shipping taking care not to damage partsUnderstand inventory locations to be proficient in pulling and issuing parts with correct quantities for jobsPerform quality inspection/checks per quality documentation/control plan (including documentation of results)Learn and demonstrate continuous improvement for Safety and Quality standards and proceduresRequirementsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS1+ years related experience in a metal manufacturing environmentRead and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memosWrite simple correspondenceAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsAbility to read and interpret prints and work ordersAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructionsAttention to detail and qualityEDUCATIONHigh School DiplomaLOCATIONOnsiteSCHEDULEM-Th 6:00AM - 4:30PMWORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration.
