RE Partners is seeking an experienced trailblazer Technical Business Analyst - Trade Data Specialist specializing in trade data analysis to join our team. You'll play a crucial role in data management and trading operations, ensuring the quality, business process innovation, and technology of our core platform for real-time derivatives pricing, risk management, and data analytics for our global clients.
Your Impact:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze trade data and enhance trading processes
- Define and codify validation and mapping rules using JSON schema
- Develop Python scripts to automate data validation, transformation, and integration processes
- Drive data quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze trade data to identify patterns, trends, and discrepancies
- Define and implement validation and mapping rules for trade data
- Develop and maintain Python scripts for data analysis and automation
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment on data projects
- Implement data quality checks and troubleshoot data-related issues
- Create comprehensive documentation for data validation rules and processes
- Identify and propose improvements to existing data processes and tools
To Be Successful You Will Need:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in trading or financial services
- Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, and scripting
- Experience with trade data analysis and understanding of trading processes
- Familiarity with JSON schema for data validation and mapping rules
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex technical concepts
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Domain Knowledge:
- Must understand financial markets products (loans, derivatives, debt)
- Corporate finance (ledgers, balances) knowledge is a strong plus
- High-level understanding of trading and operational flows
- Regulatory reporting experience is a plus
Tech Skills:
- Experience working in a development team (Kanban preferred, Scrum okay)
- Data modeling skills (fundamentals a must, experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases a plus)
- Understanding of JSON schema
- User-level understanding of source control (GitHub, BitBucket)
- Basic skills using IDEs, VS Code strongly preferred
Bonus Points:
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Certifications related to software development or data analysis
