The Technical Compliance Engineer provides technical consulting services to regulators, manufacturers, and Engineering staff. This position is responsible for the review and evaluation of technical matters related to gaming technical compliance. The team acts as a technical conduit between the regulators and laboratory testing or the lab mechanics that ensures tests are performed correctly, to the regulator's expectations. Technical Compliance Engineers are advisors on technical gaming regulations both internally and externally. What You Will Accomplish... As a Technical Compliance Engineer, you not only get to review and understand gaming regulations and new technology firsthand, but you also get an opportunity to learn beyond the function of testing and become an industry expert. As a Technical Compliance Engineer, you will focus on the following... Analyzing gaming technology. The Compliance team works on technical and regulatory analysis for various technologies used in the gaming space, such as sports wagering, fantasy sports, skill games, blockchain technology, social games, virtual currencies, cryptographic RNG's, internet gaming, network security, new concepts for slot games, etc. Maintaining set of global gaming regulations and technical standards for 700+ unique regulatory jurisdictions and monitoring changes to regulations that impact technical requirements. Meeting regulators in person and teaching them about gaming technology. GLI has created a foundation of training modules to educate our clients on gaming technology, a sampling would include: Slot 101; Progressive Systems; Mobile Gaming Systems, Network Risk Assessments; Internet Gaming Fundamentals, etc. Attending Seminars and Conferences: The Technical Compliance team members often serve as technology experts to support the industry. Our roles have spanned from being presenters, panelists, moderators with audiences from within the industry, government, and universities Duties & Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Provide customer service/support to regulators and suppliers
- Conduct evaluations of submission files, identifying any areas of regulatory concern and provide related determinations. This includes but is not limited to:
- Handling Incoming Review / Critical modifications
- Performing Outgoing Reviews / Technical Evaluations
- Performing Issues/Bugs Evaluations
- Development of Certification Report Disclosures
- Evaluate documentation related to submissions/testing and demonstrate a basic level of understanding of gaming product(s)
- Responsible for maintaining current regulations, jurisdictional profiles
- Maintains working knowledge of common industry technical standards and minimum internal controls for assigned jurisdictions
- Maintains familiarization with GLI Standard Series and internal test systems and jurisdictional process changes
- Perform reviews from a regulatory compliance stance on new verification utilities & procedures
- Develop/maintain internal procedural documentation, coversheets, forms, and test scripts
- Work with the Engineering groups in various offices on regulatory technical questions and issues
- Provide technical training and/or workshops to internal/external customers
- Use of JIRA to keep track of current projects
- Provide support to Development staff
- Handle Special Projects as needed and assigned
Experience, Education, Skills, and Credentials:
- Four-year degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering or equivalent technical backgrounds. Formal training, experience, or demonstrated competency may be evaluated and considered acceptable in lieu of the educational requirements.
- Gaming experience preferred
- Must possess good analytical skills
- Must have great written and oral communication skills, including a passion for customer service
- Must have the ability to quickly assess issues, find solutions, and analyze the results
- Must have the ability to multi-task and work as part of a team
- Must have Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Must be available for travel up to 10%
Location: On-site in one of our offices in Lakewood, NJ, Wheat Ridge, CO, Or Las Vegas, NV Schedule: Normal hours are Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. Salary Range: $32.17 hourly ($66,915 annually) Benefits:
