Our client, a leading activewear and sportswear manufacturing company is looking for a Technical Designer to join their team to focus on their Girls/Boy/Toddler/Baby division.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the technical design lifecycle, from initial sketch to production fit approval.
- Develop and maintain tech packs throughout the line creation process.
- Lead fit sessions to establish brand aesthetic and proportion within price points.
- Create and maintain specification packages to meet design and financial goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders for clear direction on design aesthetic and construction.
- Develop specifications and construction methods for product categories, ensuring cost efficiency.
- Resolve technical issues related to fit, execution, fabric application, and grading.
- Evaluate prototype and fit samples for accuracy and quality.
- Ensure brand consistency in aesthetic, fit, and construction.
- Communicate with cross-functional teams to meet calendar milestones.
- Proactively identify and resolve production, quality, and costing issues.
- Stay updated on market trends.
Requirements:
- College Degree
- 5-10 years of Technical Design Experience
- Proficient in Excel.
- Experience with PLM systems, Adobe Illustrator, and 3D design.
- Expertise in apparel fitting, spec/block creation, and pattern correction.
