Job Description:

Job Summary: The Solar Tech Director will lead the technology team, drive the development of the company's technology strategy, and ensure that the technology direction aligns with the overall business objectives. A key responsibility will be to establish and manage the North America Environmental Database and the North America Solar Project database, ensuring that these resources are comprehensive, accurate, and leveraged to support business decisions and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Database Management:

  • Oversee the setup and maintenance of the North America Environmental Database, ensuring it includes comprehensive data on environmental factors relevant to the company's operations.
  • Manage the creation and ongoing development of the North America Solar Project database, incorporating detailed project information, performance metrics, and market trends.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant data management regulations.

2.Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement technology strategies that support the company's environmental and solar project initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology solutions with business goals.

3.Technical Leadership:

  • Provide technical direction and leadership to the team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback to inform product development.
  • Manage the product lifecycle, including product launches, updates, and end-of-life planning.
  • Develop and maintain product documentation, including data sheets, user manuals, and technical specifications.
  • Monitor product performance metrics and use data-driven insights to inform product improvements.

4.Team Development:

  • Build and manage a high-performing technology team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Mentor and develop team members to enhance their technical and leadership skills.

5.Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and environmental organizations, to gather requirements and share insights.
  • Present product updates and strategy to internal stakeholders and external customers.

6.Reporting and Analytics:

  • Generate regular reports and analytics from the databases to provide insights that inform decision-making and strategy development.
  • Present complex data in an understandable format to various audiences, including executive leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Environmental Science, or a related discipline); Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in technology management, with a focus on solar industry, especially solar tracker system.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and implementing product develop and innovation.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with solar energy industry standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
