Job Objectives:
We are seeking a strong candidate with operational skills and insurance knowledge to join our team supporting our North American Production Underwriters. The position requires strong analytical, interpersonal, and people leadership skills with an interest in utilization and introduction of new technology solutions. The Technical Lead provides product leadership and guidance including training and documentation support. The Technical Lead works with cross-functional teams to provide clear and accurate directions from legal, compliance and underwriting in product delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Gain a deep understanding of Product Set including form set by State and related regulatory and compliance requirements.
* Establish a centralized repository of forms for team members.
* Document workflows, create and maintain process maps and training materials.
* Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for system testing and projects related to the line of business.
* Review the daily procedures of team for opportunities to increase productivity and efficiency metrics via training sessions, process documentation and workflow updates.
* Participate in a Technical Lead Work stream Project to define common processes and procedures for the enterprise as well as initiate cross training opportunities between teams.
* Work collaboratively with Insurance and Business Operations team members and contribute to the Allied World Target Operating Model Initiative.
* Participate in Allied World Learning and Development Opportunities online, in person and group training session.
* Engage in AW Connect Conversations with agreement to meaningful, measurable and personal goals.
* Perform Account Coordinator duties, as necessary.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree or relevant years in the industry.
* Strong, demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills, strong written & verbal communication skills,
strong organizational skills, and ability to function independently
* Position requires knowledge of insurance and experience with internal customers.
* Proficient computer skills, especially in Windows-based systems Microsoft Word and Excel, and internet explorer based applications.
* Risk Management degree and/or Professional Insurance designation preferred.
