We're looking for a creative, innovative, experienced, and hands-on professional to use their technical expertise to support Polestars service point network.Let us describe the challenge we offerTechnical Operations at Polestar encompasses Service Point Technical Support as well as Technical Training. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the Polestar service point network with technical expertise, knowledge transfer, assistance leading to case resolution while providing a world class training environment to develop Service Point technicians. As a Technical Operations Specialist you will also provide on-site support for Polestar product events and product training.This role will be based within our Central region and requires 50-60% overnight travel throughout North AmericaWhat you'll do
  • Manage the intake and timely handling of Vehicle Reports from Polestar service point technicians
  • Research all information and data, document all details, analyze the problem from multiple perspectives while providing prompt responses with recommendations on further diagnosis and/or resolution
  • Assist via remote and/or on-site diagnostic tools providing knowledge transfer at our service points
  • Support our mobile technicians via remote support where necessary
  • Perform inspections and create field reports while tracking trends for Product Follow-Up Engineers
  • Train and maintain competence for Service Point technicians across the US & Canada
  • Develop training courses to grow skilled and knowledgeable Polestar technicians
  • Provide service points with action items for continuous workshop facility and process improvements
Who you are
  • 5+ years of proven experience as a technician
  • Currently holding an ASE certification including L3
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal that allow you to successfully communicate with customers and retailers
  • You have extensive automotive diagnostic knowledge in FlexRay, CAN, and hybrid/electric propulsion
  • You understand the needs of a premium customer within a retail environment
  • Drive and determination to work in an evolving, ever changing environment
