WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE JOB:Are you seeking a role where your contributions can make a significant impact?

We are recruiting a Technical Product Director for the American Red CrossInnovation team. The Technical Product Director will be part of InnovationTeam leadership and will work with stakeholders to strategize, determine,document, and deliver on the product requirements for technology solutionsthat service the Red Cross mission. The Technical Product Director will manageteams, understand and shape business practices and technicalconsiderations, determine product and user requirements, prototype/testand track work to completion, and ensure the solution provides the intendedbus

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience leading agile softwaredevelopment teams, strong communication and relationship managementskills, and be able to independently implement projects. The candidateshould have recent coding experience with HTML, CSS, and anobject-oriented programming language, e.g. Python/Java/C#/C++.

The position is fully remote, but we are asking for candidates who cansupport US East Coast business hours. For example, West Coast candidateswould be asked to start their day around 10 am ET/7 am PT.

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities):1. Lead the evaluation of new technology developments, applications andevolving business/systems requirements.2. Work cross-functionally to develop and document the business cases that canbe used to initiate technology and data science projects.3. Oversee the maintenance of a roadmap of all active projects with high-leveltimelines tracking project/portfolio performance metrics to monitor businessvalue over time.4. Manage employees, contractors, and volunteers to coordinate the dailytask and status of work within the Innovation team.5. Oversee the production of documentation such as process maps, high levelrequirements and high level UX screens (using the appropriate tool - e.g.Powerpoint, Photoshop, Figma, or Axure).6. Drive the understanding of business processes and technical requirementsfor the development of solutions.7. Work closely with clients to analyze the current and future direction oftechnology and data sc ence to meet business goals.8. Lead the investigation of complex operations-related problems/inquiriesand recommend, facilitate, and coordinate solutions.9. Prepare communications and make presentations related to your work.10. Educate clients about the software and project lifecycles and the businessroles.11. Facilitate problem resolution between IT and the business, as needed.12. Represent, champion and balance client interests within IT.13. Provide training and guidance to other staff.14. Oversee the testing of the product at the site and remotely.15. Log bugs and work with the developers for resolving issues.16. Drive user testing with field resources to check if the product works asdesired from user point of view.17. Frequent visits to the site to build relationships with the field teamsand understand user pain points.18. As needed, help with product development of technology prototypes andsolutions.

Scope: people manager that interprets and administers policies, process,and procedures that may affect sections and subordinate units.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (required/minimum qualifications):Education: Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in ComputerScience, Information Systems or related field preferred.

Experience: Minimum 7 years of related experience in the Technical ProductManagement space or equivalent combination of education and related experience
