Delta Air Lines, Inc. has multiple openings for Technical Product Engineers in Atlanta, Georgia.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with Agile Product Category (APC) teams to develop, deliver, and support customer facing applications that have direct impact on revenue stream.
  • Work closely with the Agile Product Category (APC) and development teams to ensure that the team clearly understands the required functionality to meet market needs.
  • Own and deliver the development activities in the scrum team. Collaborate with product, project, and development stakeholders and teams, gather requirements, coordinate dependencies, and identify risks and opportunities.
  • Conduct research, perform studies to obtain data, and analyze problems to advise on or recommend solutions utilizing knowledge of theory, principles, or technology of APIs and solving business problems with technology.
  • Work closely with the Product Owner on one or more Agile development team by translating product inputs into well-defined functional requirements and user stories.
  • Lead story grooming sessions or requirement clarification sessions.
  • Translate product strategy into requirement documents using cases and process flows.
  • Work with application support and development teams to monitor, triage, and help fix software bugs and escalated issues.
  • Write necessary stories to deliver functionality, such as user interaction stories, system integration stories, or API level stories.
  • Document, analyze, and propose process changes or re-engineering approaches based on an understanding of technical problems and solutions as they relate to current and future state, business, and technical environments.
  • Telecommuting permitted 2 days per week.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science, Cyber Systems, or a related field, and 4 years of experience in business analysis or product ownership.Must have work experience in:
  • Analyzing business requirements and communicating them using business process flows and translate to user stories.
  • Working with stakeholders (Product Owners, Architects, and Teams) to convert a feature in user-stories.
  • Software development lifecycle and defining clear OKRs and KPIs of a product
  • Agile Methodology – working with Product Owner to groom the backlog and prioritize stories.
  • Guiding a team though sprint and program-increment refinement and planning.
  • Guiding root cause analysis of test and production issues through problem-solving skills, using monitoring tools, which include. enterprise scale cloud software architecture and UI design tool Figma.
  • Testing methodologies and automation, managing quality.
